The Civil War Sesquicentennial in Nottoway County
This forum will be used to discuss the Wilson Kautz Raid. This federal raid started on June 21, 1864 and was over on July 1, 1864. The raiders moved through Nottoway County on June 23 and June 24 leaving a path of destruction. There was a significant battle near Nottoway Court House on June 23 when W.H.F. Lee's Cavalry intercepted Wilson's column at the "Grove".

The Siege of Petersburg
